Looks great! I think adding the depth was a really smart idea! You also did a great job of adapting the official designs of the fonts and HUD to the GBA resolution and you really made it look official!

(funnily enough I drew a Paper Mario GBC inspired piece not-too-long ago)

I LOVE how you exagerrated and stylised his design! He almost reminds me of a Tove Jansson style of character. Added to faves!

I love this, it looks very genuine! Are the bugs based off-of the ones in Super Mario Land 2? They remind me of them either way, and that's a very good thing!
